It's been a while since I posted my nail art, but no worries. I have been creative this week! As you all know I'm addicted to nail polish/ art and cheap stuff. This week I found out the nail polish brand Safari is very cheap-ass and has a million of colors to choose from for just €1,50 per piece. *heaven*!!

Mint tea, good for health
Nowadays mint tea is the most popular herbal tea consumed throughout the world and has some good effects for your body:
- Mint is well known for its ability to sooth the digestive tract
- Mint will sooth the upset stomach and relieve heartburn;
- It is even thought that mint may have benefits as an anticancer food;

Flavourite city Hong Kong!
Hong Kong is a dynamic city, especially when it’s chinese new year. During this period you can visit some parades and festivals. Enjoy the greatest view along the harbour. Not to forget the wide variety of food: seafood, wok, grilled beef, steam boat, they got it all. Besides the food Hong Kong is a great place to spend your money. I've never seen so many streets and markets full of clothing shops. Hong Kong, my flavourite city. You should visit it too!
Hello Seoul!
What an adorable city, Seoul located in South Korea. The trendy fashion and beautiful shops caught my eye, WOW! Keep in mind that the period dec- jan is a very frosty time in Korea, so make sure you have some winter wear with you. I didn't had a winter coat, so I had a good reason to spend some money in Myeong Dong shopping area. During my visit it was -5 degrees! Another highlight was the Changdeokung, one of the 5 grand palaces built by the kings of Joseon Dynasty. Nightlife in Seoul is poor, but I think you should experience it once. We stayed nearby Myeong Dong area in Hotel Sejong Inn. Make sure you're not wrong with 5-star Hotel Sejong, because that one is nearby this low budget Sejong Inn hotel and paid $ 29,- per person/ night.
Surfing Paradise Bali!
If you're searching for some good waves, well.. Bali is THE PLACE to develop your surf skills. I can't say any negative word about our stay at Dekuta Hotel. Paid $ 15,- per person per night. Everything was perfect: clean and classy room, balcony, view, friendly staff and 5 minutes walk to Kuta Beach. I took some surf lessons at a dutch Surf School, located next to our hotel. A day after I finally catched some good waves with my surfboard, thanks to the friendly teacher! While, I enjoyed my wonderfull week in Bali, my friend got food poisened. Be aware! Don't eat ice creams! The temperature is around 30 degrees, now and then with some rainy days.
Cheap ass second hand stuff!
My mum lives in a little village, called Yerseke, located in the south of Holland. Once a year there is a flea market here and me and my boyfriend went to it. What I have been noticed is, the price/ value for things are much cheaper in small villages than at the flea markets in the cities. I still can't believe I just paid €1,50 for this vintage bag, which is still in very good condition! My advice to you girls, google the flea markets in not well known villages to get the nice stuff for less!
Best time ever in Thai!
Thailand is amazing!! Sunny weather, friendly people and the best beaches in the world. I started my trip in Patong Beach (Phuket). Surround this place there are a lot of tourist to serve, that's probably the reason for "could-be-anywhere" resort development. Besides these frequent visited beaches in Phuket, the nightlife gets very wild. A lot of bars and nightlife can be find on the Bangla Road. During this visit we had a pleasant stay at The Oddy Hotel. Paid: $ 15,- per person per night.
Just a short 45 minute journey from Phuket will transport you to the tropical paradise Koh Phi Phi. A cute island surrounded with white sands and crystal clear sea. I love it so much! No cars, no bikes, only on foot. Explore Phi Phi with scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, Maya Beach, Viking cave and Monkey Island. The nightlife in Koh Phi Phi island is till 2:00 a.m, just in case you wanna party till the sun is rising.
We did party till the sun rises on the Full Moon party at Koh Phangan. This world famous event brings thousand of party lovers to the island. I can tell you this was probably the best party I have ever been in my whole life! This party was amazing because they had this:
- Buckets to hold your (non) alcoholic drink;
- Jugglers and fire-eaters who entertains people;
- A waterslide with fire torches. The slide is unspectacular, but the landing is fantastic!
In Koh Phangan we stayed at low budget Power Beach Resort, 15 minutes ride from Haad Rin (Full Moon party). Paid: $ 15.60 per person per night.
After Koh Phangan we ended up in Phuket again, because we had a flight to catch over there. We've choosen to stay in a non crowded area, called Naithon Beach. Our accomodation was at the Naithon Beach Mansion, spacious, clean, comfortable rooms and just 5 minutes walk to the beach. A very pleasant stay for people who wants to relax and enjoy the sun and christal clear sea. Paid $20,- per person per night.
J'ADORE SINGAPORE!
Singapore is a south east city-state beneath Malaysia. Highly urbanised, but half of the country is covered by greenery, such a beautiful contrast. I stayed at Sleepy Sams, Singapore highest-rated bed and breakfast. Every morning, delicious breakfast was served: toast with a lot of fruit, coffee/tea and orange juice. During my stay we met a lot of backpackers, students and football players. We hang out together and had a wonderfull NYE at the Siloso Beach Party. The countdown was amazing!
Clarke Quay is a great place to spend the evening. It's a mad happening place with a lots of famous bars and restaurants, but a little expensive. If you want budget shopping, Bugis Street is the largest street-shopping location in Singapore. I bought a lot of things at the Bugis Street Market, the mecca for shoppers and bargain hunters.
Don't forget the beautiful architecture of Marina Bay Sands. The picture above shows the swimming pool on the top of the building. Such an adorable view. Hopefully, my future husband will ask me to marry on that rooftop!

Nature in Malaysia
During my internship in Lotus Desaru Beach Resort, I have been travelling to some interesting places in Malaysia. I have seen a lot of greenery in this wonderful country. Started the journey from Cameron Highlands, a vast area of rolling green hills, tea plantations and forest. The temperature in the highlands drops below 10 degrees or climbs above 21 degrees. Walked in the jungle, visited strawberry farms, butterfly farms and tea plantations. You know this movie, called Avatar, a world with blue people? Well I have experienced the Avatar world in the mossy forest, located upon the highest mountain in Cameron Highland. That was so cool! In Cameron Highlands we stayed at the Rainbow hotel, sponsored by our internship company.
After a the adventure in Cameron Highlands, the next visit was Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. I have seen the typical icons such as, Twin Towers and Pavilion. Travelling is what Urry mentioned about the Tourist Gaze ''Been there, done that". And so we did. The nightlife in Kuala Lumpur is ok. House Dj's are totally trending, nothing special for us, because here in Holland we have them a lot! Our stay in Lotus Hotel was located at Masjid Jamek, 1 minute walk from the MRT-station. This stay we also got sponsored by my intership company.
There are a lot more interesting places to visit in Malaysia, such as Sabah and Sarawak. In the future I definitly want to explore the east part of Malaysia.
Heart shorts!
A few weeks ago I came to this fantastic idea to cutt off the pipes of my Diesel jeans. And I'm happy to share the result with you! Stay tuned for more DIY inspiration!
